Unesco vineyard landscape - World Heritage

Piedmont’s vineyard landscape was acknowledged as Unesco World Heritage in June 2014. Winegrowing has been at the heart of the economy of these hills for centuries. For the first time, Unesco has assigned an acknowledgment not only to the beauty of a territory painted with vineyards, castles and medieval towers, but also the work of men and women who have cultivated the land for decades. Costigliole d’Asti falls rightfully within it.
