Cascina Castlèt on tour in Norway with Barolo & Friends Event, organised by the Piedmont Wine Consortium.

The tour kicks off on Monday the 12th of February in the capital, Oslo, at the Gamle Logen with three sessions: the first reserved for representatives of the trade sector; a second aimed at wine lovers, selected with the cooperation of the associations of sommeliers and some of the most important Norwegian wine clubs; and a a promotion reserved for the representatives of Vinmonopolet, the Norwegian Liquor Control Board.

Litina Barbera d’Asti 2015 will be presented for tasting in a Master class reserved for professionals in the sectors, carried out by Liora Levi, recently appointed chairman of the Norwegian association of sommeliers, and a Master class for consumers, entitled “Piemontese red supertrio, Nebbiolo, Barbera and Dolcetto” which will be carried out by sommelier Sandro Minella.

On Tuesday the 13th of February, everything moves to Trondheim, known as the “food city” due to the numerous annual fetes, its gastronomic pavilion, the market held by Norway’s finest farmers and its many high-end restaurants. There will be a Walk Around Tasting aimed at consumers, followed by two Master classes on Piedmontese wine held by Sandro Minella, and a wine dinner open to consumers, with service of the wines of the producers present at the event.

On Wednesday the 14th of February, the Barolo & Friends Event will be in Bergen, Norway’s second largest city, for the first time. Also known as “the gate to the Fjords”, this is a very lively city, with a large student population and some excellent quality restaurants. Here too, there will be a Walk Around Tasting aimed at local consumers, and two Master classes held by Sandro Minella.
