The Castle of Costigliole d’Asti is the seat of ICIF, Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners, an international culinary school founded in Turin, in 1991. The food and wine courses held at the school are attended by professionals, holders of diplomas from hotel training schools and centres, and trainee cooks who come from all over the world in order to become ambassadors of Italian regional cuisine, in all its unmistakeable distinctiveness.
The basic philosophy of the Institute, which is endowed not only with the school but also with a wine store and an oil store where one may taste extra virgin oils from every part of Italy, is to ensure that the prestige and tradition that make Italian regional cuisine the heritage that everyone envies us be spread throughout the world.
