Mariuccia is Piedmont’s regional delegate for the National Association of the Women of Wine. Nowadays, being a woman in the business world in general, and the farming one in particular, requires ever greater commitment.
The National Association of the Women of Wine numbers about 700 members, of which quite 150 from the Piedmont delegation. Set up in 1988, the Association is currently one of the most active and well-known of the associations involved in matters regarding oenology. In the vine-growing sector, particularly important for our region and traditionally male-oriented, it has represented and continues to represent an especially important aspect, characterized by a vivaciousness and a trend towards modern, leading-edge communication, to such an extent as to constitute a true and proper associative phenomenon unlike any other in the world.
